What:
SVT Mountain Bike Camp is designed for kids looking to learn the fundamentals of mountain biking up to more experienced riders looking to expand their skills. Every day is an opportunity to learn new riding techniques, explore SVT’s awesome single track on two wheels, and have an overall fun time with friends in the woods. Campers will start each day doing a safety check so they can learn basic bike mechanics before hitting the trail.
Our Why:
There are a plethora of health benefits that mountain biking and being outside has on a child. Not only is mountain biking great exercise, but it can fight depression, build confidence, and increase self-esteem. Riding with a group can also nurture socialization skills and help children build long lasting friendships. Children feel empowered when they conquer a new skill or ride down a section of trail that was challenging for them. They overcome fear and become resilient and confident members of society, realizing their potential and self-worth. When kids have fun on the trails, they are more willing to care for them. Teaching kids proper trail etiquette helps foster future trail stewards.
